Sunday School

We invite you to join us for Sunday School each week at 9:45 am.   Classes are relaxed and informal and a great time to learn principles from God's Word as we fellowship with one another.  We also have classes for the children with crafts, songs and activities that all center on learning about God's Word.    We have classes for adults, children and teens.

  • American Idols: The Worship of the American Dream
    Steve Miller
A Class for Men and Women

This class is based upon the recent book of the same title by Bob Hostetler.  During our time together we will take a look at some of the false gods in modern society.  The golden calf of bible times may be gone but in its place we have created new idols.  Some of the topics of our study will include: the E-bay Mentality (consumerism), the Rock-Star Syndrome (heroes, celebrities, and wannabes), the Superman Myth (humanism), the Sexual Revolution, and others.  Come prepared to be challenged by God’s Spirit and His Word as we examine things that may make us “double-minded men and women.”

  • Prayer: Does it Make Any Difference?
    Denise Miller

    A Class for Women

According to the Bible, there was a time when God and Adam walked together in the garden and conversed as friends.  That was the beginning of prayer.   We would all rank prayer high in priority in our Christian walk – and also high in frustration, if we’re honest.  We know God desires to interact with us but we aren’t really sure we’re doing it properly or God is listening.  Does prayer work?  More personally, does it work the way we think it should?  What can we really expect from prayer?  Let’s probe this intriguing subject together.

  • Improving Our Parenting
    Pastor Hall
A Class for Men and Women

Scripture tells us that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).  The only problem is that they don’t come with an instruction book and it doesn’t take too long before you begin to realize how little you know and understand about being a good, godly parent.  What works with one child has no affect on another.  Should we view parenting as something to survive or an opportunity to thrive?  There are a multitude of books available on parenting but we must start with some foundational principles from God’s Word that will help you to improve your parenting no matter where you are in life.  We will examine not only these principles but seek to understand how to practically put some of the principles into practice for various ages of children.

  • Where is Your Church Going?
    Henry Koch
A Class for Men and Women

A wise church regularly inspects its ministry construction to ensure that it remains solidly grounded on the Word.  This class will use the book of 1st Timothy to help us do an inspection of our church.  Originally when Paul wrote this letter he was helping a young pastor and congregation think about the essentials of a quality church.  The instruction Paul shared provides an excellent assessment for our church to utilize in ensuring the stability of its ministry.  Paul addressed such vital themes as the importance of Biblically sound teachers, the centrality of the gospel of God’s grace, the necessity of prayer, the proper understanding of gender roles, the integrity of godly leadership, the preservation of right doctrine, and many other crucial topics that affect the way a church builds it ministries.  Join us for this exciting study in 1st Timothy.
